I absolutely love the performance, traction, and look of these tires. Good4ayears were horrible and lasted 15,000 miles where the last 2 sets got me 50,000 miles on each set. I have put about a 1,000 miles on them and still look brand new. The day after install we got 2 inches of snow and couldn’t even tell. The noise level is about the same as the previous model in my opinion. Actually mounted on stock 18×8 Tundra wheels. The look is just as great as the performance. Ordered around noon on one day and by 10:30am the NEXT DAY they were on my front porch! We received these tires the next day!!! They are doing great in the snow and they run very quiet! One year of ownership. I installed a set of LT285/70R17 121S G2s On January 2, 2015 and have currently placed 14,000 miles on them. The road noise, at first, was noticeably louder compared to the first generation terra grapplers I had on previously. After 5,000 miles, the noise has reduced to about equal the noise from the previous generation. The additional noise can be attributed to the change in the tread pattern; namely the terraced upper layer that was added for additional bite off-road. Once that upper layer wears down, about 2-3/32, the noise reduces. I currently have 13/32″ of tread remaining of the original 16.3/32″. Traction has increased in the dry and cornering is far improved from factory tires. Nitto terra grappler G2. I think the hydroplane because of the width of the tire.
