Part # KTD-BD-SFT Shortly after the release of our Billet RSX Shifter we started to receive several inquiries about making a similar shifter for the B and D series engines. At first we were a little hesitant, but after some thought, we remembered that we actually made a prototype several years ago. So we got it out, made a few changes, and produced a couple more prototypes for testing and feedback purposes. Testing went very well and the response to our photos was also excellent so we decided it was time to make this product available. The K-Tuned B & D Series Shifter was designed with full adjustability in mind. The shifter pivot ball is height adjustable, shifter height is adjustable and the offset elbow of the shifter can be rotated to several different positions. The adjustable pivot ball allows the user to thread the pivot ball higher up on the shift rod to shorten shift throw if desired. Construction is as expected, only high quality materials are used to ensure the shifter will last. We used 100% stainless steel with the lone exception being the offset elbow, which is made from billet aluminum. All hardware, spacers and Allen keys for adjustment are included in our kit. This is a great shifting upgrade for any B or D series engine setup. Over the past year we have noticed that a copy of our original K-Tuned B & D Series Shifter has started to sneak into the market. The replica shifter is a straight up knock off of our original design and is pretty easy to spot, with no logo on the black billet elbow. It is important to note that just because something looks the same does not mean it is. The replica shifter is made in China using much cheaper materials that have completely stripped away the quality from the final product. In an effort to separate ourselves from these cheap imitations we recently made a few changes to make our original B & D Shifter even better. We changed the pivot ball material to brass to reduce friction and make shifting even smoother. We also redesigned the connection point at the billet elbow to make it stronger than our first design. Please do not be fooled by cheap imitations, quality really is all in the details.
